A 51% concession fare

It is available to:

1. combatants being the war-disabled with the second and third degree of disability or with a total or partial inability to work on the basis of a combatant ID card issued by the pension authority with an adequate note about a total or partial inability to work.

2. combatants, including members of a Veteran of Struggles for Independence of the Republic of Poland corps and other authorized people – senior citizens, pensioners and disabled people as well as people receiving a remuneration for retired public servants.

3. widower and widows – senior citizens and pensioners receiving a remuneration for retired public servants, given to combatants before, including members of a Veterans of Struggles for Independence of the Republic of Poland corps and other authorized people.

People mentioned in section 2 and 3 are entitled to the concession fare on the basis of a certificate issued by the Commissioner of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression with a note certifying the entitlement to a concession fare.

   - Certificates and ID cards issued by:

   - the Commissioner of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression,

   - the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression,

   - the Minister of Labor and Social Policy,

   - the Office for War Veterans,

   - Polish Society of War Veterans and Former Political Prisoners,

and containing a note certifying the entitlement to a concession fare applying until 30 January 2002, certify the entitlement to a concession fare for travelling by KM trains until upgrading a note about the reduced fare or exchanging a document.

For people mentioned in section 1-3 being the members of a Veterans of Struggles for Independence of the Republic of Poland corps – a membership card.

4. university students – full-time, part-time or extramural under 26 years old on the basis of a student ID card issued by Polish university.

5. students of teacher training college, college of foreign languages as well as college of social service workers – full-time, part-time or extramural under 26 years old on the basis of a college student ID card.

6. disabled students under 26 years old who attend university on routes other than from the place of residence to nursery school, school, academy, educational and care facility, facility which enables children to receive compulsory education, residential home, resource center, health care unit, counselling and psychological center, incl. specialist outpatient clinic, as well as a rehabilitation camp – and back, on the basis of a student ID card issued by Polish university or a college student ID card.

7. students studying abroad under 26 years old being:

a) Polish citizens on the basis of a student ID card issued by Polish university or the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) presented along with a personal ID card or other documet certifying the identity and the age of a passenger.

b) European Union citizens according to the Act of 14 July 2006 under entry, stay and departure of EU citizens and their families from the Republic of Poland on the basis of a student ID card issued by Polish university or the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) presented along with a document certifying the permanent residence.

c) family members of EU citizens according to the Act od 14 July 2006 under entry, stay and departure of EU citizens and their families from the Republic of Poland on the basis of a student ID card issued by Polish university or the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) presented along with a permanent residence card.

8. doctoral students – under 35 years old on the basis of a doctoral student ID card issued by Polish university or research unit.

Students ID cards which do not show the age should be presented along with a personal ID card or other document showing the age of the passenger.
